Making connections
A child who attends Mistley Kids Club attends a school in Colchester where he lost transport to Mistley after school. His mum reached out to Kids Club to see if we could support.
Immediately we began working on a plan to support this child getting to Kids Club. We began speaking to different staff to see about availability in helping us out. Within a few days we were able to sort out transport in order for the child to continue attending Kids Club after school.
If this transport couldn’t be sorted, the child’s mum would have had to give up some work or change her job. This for us wasn’t something she should have to do as losing the transport wasn’t her fault. The parent was extremely grateful for the support we were able to provide for her and her son.
