At SEND Sensation, we believe every child’s voice matters. And sometimes, the most powerful way to understand someone’s experience is to see the world through their eyes. That’s exactly what our new film sets out to do.
We’re proud to introduce Alex, a 9-year-old from Essex who lives with Autism and ADHD. Using a GoPro camera, Alex has been visiting SEND Sensation partner organisations and capturing his experiences in his own unique way! Alongside this, Alex has been interviewed to share his own insights.
This short film offers a genuine, unfiltered glimpse into how Alex sees and interacts with the world around him. From moments of excitement and curiosity to the challenges he faces, we hope this film helps build a deeper understanding of neurodiversity through real lived experience.

We are proud to welcome Alex as our first young ambassador. This project is part of our ongoing commitment to raising awareness, supporting families, and celebrating the individuality of every child and young person in our community.
In the future, we will be sharing videos by Alex using his GoPro – keep an eye on our socials in the coming months for these! By putting the camera in Alex’s hands, we hope to encourage people to listen, learn, and see things differently – because understanding starts with perspective.
